Over 150 eager shoppers attended the Service League of Natchitoches’ inaugural Jingle and Mingle event Nov. 13. The event, held at Natchitoches’ Prud’homme-Rouquier House, featured pop up vendors, ranging from local crafters to local shops and a spa. The attendees enjoyed food and cocktails while shopping in the house’s historic setting. Natchitoches’ iconic Christmas Belles and Angels made an appearance with the Christmas Angels singing for the crowd. After the food, friendship and entertainment, the shoppers went on to visit 12 Front Street merchants who had agreed to extend their opening hours for the private shopping event.
The Jingle and Mingle was sponsored by the 54 active members and 200 sustainers of the Service League of Natchitoches to raise funds for the preservation of the Prud’homme-Rouquier House as well as other philanthropic endeavors throughout the community. The event was a superb way to support a worthy cause, get some early holiday shopping done in a fun atmosphere and support local small businesses.
