Natchitoches man arrested on narcotics and weapons charges

Natchitoches Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force Agents arrested a Natchitoches man on narcotics and weapons charges on March 1. According to a Task Force Official, Albert Johnlouis III (B/M 26), was arrested following a narcotics search warrant that was executed at the address of 100 Southbend Drive in Natchitoches. This search warrant stemmed from a lengthy narcotics investigation involving suspect Albert Johnlouis III distributing various types of illegal drugs such as Alprazolam, and marijuana from the address of 100 Southbend Drive.

Upon searching the residence, NMJDF agents seized 185 suspected Alprazolam pills, 3 suspected ecstasy pills, 32 grams of suspected synthetic marijuana, and 263 grams of suspected high grade marijuana. Also among the items seized were two firearms one being a 7.62 assault rifle with a banana style magazine and semi-automatic handgun. Agents also located various packaging equipment, and other items used for the distribution of illicit narcotics.

Johnlouis was issued the district court date of 06/24/2019, and later placed in the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center to await bond on the following charges:

3 counts Possession CDS I with intent to distribute.

1 count Possession CDS IV with intent to distribute.

2 counts Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

2 counts Possession of a firearm with CDS.

1 count Possession of Drug paraphernalia.

1 count Possession of CDS in the presence of persons under 17.
