Rotary Club learns about NCAA rules and NSU tennis

Rotarian with the Program A. J. Johnson introduced Northwestern State University (NSU) Associate Athletic Director/Compliance and Special Services Dustin Eubanks and NSU Assistant Director for Compliance Presley Owens, who spoke to the Rotary Club of Natchitoches on Feb. 26 about serving as auditors and compliance monitors for the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) rules. Rotarian with the Program Jerry Paul introduced Northwestern State University (NSU) Head Tennis Coach, Director of Wellness and Recreation and Assistant Athletic Director of Special Projects Patric DuBois, who then introduced NSU Sophomore Pati Polanska from Poland, who’s majoring in Psychology and Addiction Studies and Senior and Captain Polina Mutel from Russia, who’s majoring in Business Administration. DuBois showed video clips of the tennis team’s matches and discussed the hard work and dedication of the Lady Demon tennis players both on the courts and in the classroom.   1. NSU has a very fine women’s tennis program ably headed by Coach DuBois. The players are not only fine players but first-class young women who add much to the NSU and Natchitoches communities.
