Natchitoches Central High School Senior Maleek Johnson officially signed to play football for Louisiana College on April 3. Family, friends, and teammates were all there to support and encourage him on this next step in his academic and athletic career.

Coach Byron Keller said Maleek is a hard worker, one who consistently tries to improve both academically and athletically.

“He’s respected by his teammates and will be missed,” said Keller.

Maleek has been a two-year starter at defensive tackle with the following statistics: 32 tackles, two tackles for loss, two sacks, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery. His parents, sister, and teammates surrounded Maleek to pose for a group photo.
