NSU honors LASC organizer “Mr. Phil”

Northwestern State University recognized Phil Gugliuzza for 40 years of service to the Louisiana Association of Student Councils, which has hosted its annual summer workshops at the university since 1979. Hundreds of Louisiana high school students annually participate in the leadership development workshops through a partnership established between “Mr. Phil” and Dr. Dan Seymour, a long-time university administrator who was instrumental in creating a relationship with LASC. NSU President Dr. Chris Maggio thanked Gugliuzza for his dynamic and innovative role in working with high schools, teachers, principals and thousands of students through LASC.
