Thirteen students made up the first group of students to complete a Phlebotomy Technician Training course offered through Northwestern State University’s Office of Electronic and Continuing Education in Alexandria. Graduates Amber Powell, Deja Boose, Dana Burnaman, Whitney Coleman, Samuel Green, Zachary Gauthier, Shannan Jackson, Sasha Antwine, Kindra Perry, Madison Erwin, Latoya Swafford and Pamela Byone are shown with instructor Sherry Hinton. Also completing the course was Morgan Grace-Kight. Burnaman was valedictorian and Green and Powell were salutatorians. A new course will be taught July 29-August 30 at the NSU Cenla Campus at 1410 Neel Kearby Blvd. in Alexandria.
