Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Detectives have arrested a north Natchitoches Parish woman in connection with a residential burglary in Goldonna according to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office.
On Thursday August 22, NPSO detectives responded to a residential burglary in the 1500 block of Goldonna Road in Goldonna, La.
Detectives learned forced entry had been gained into the unoccupied residence through a side window.
Detectives met with a family member and while surveying the crime scene discovered physical evidence.
During the initial stages of the investigation, detectives processed the crime scene, gathered evidence and completed an offense report in connection with the burglary.
The physical evidence is being submitted to the crime lab for analysis.
As the investigation progressed, detectives obtained information that Sylvia E. Scallion of Goldonna was allegedly involved in the burglary.
Detectives made an effort to locate Scallion in the Goldonna area but were unsuccessful during their attempts.
Detectives returned to the Criminal Investigations Division with sufficient evidence and probable to obtain a criminal warrant for the arrest of Scallion signed by a Tenth Judicial District Court Judge.
Detectives continued to look for Scallion. They made contact with her and asked her to report to the NPSO.
On September 5 at approximately 12:00pm, Sylvia E. Scallion, 42, of the 200 block of Albert Conley Road, Goldonna, La. turned herself in to detectives at the Criminal Investigations Division.
Scallion was booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center charged with 1-count of Simple Burglary where she currently remains awaiting bond.
Detectives say Scallion admitted to the burglary.
