Natchitoches Magnet School’s Teachers of the Year were recognized during a morning assembly. The Elementary Teacher of the Year is Carletta Jones and the Middle School Teacher of the Year is Zenda Sawyer. Sawyer is also named Natchitoches Parish Middle School Teacher of the Year. I don’t think we need a magnet school, we need More Schools
Sawyer is an awesome person and teacher When I worked with her at Parks she said, “give me three years and I will turn the junior high math scores around”. And she did! We had the highest gain in scores than ANY school in the system. Then Duke pulled the plug on it!
