Concerned Citizens Association presents community members with awards

Johnny Barnes and the Concerned Citizens Association for the Bailey Heights Community held its annual awards appreciation program on Dec. 13. The program was opened with greetings and a prayer by Johnny Barnes, President of the association. Sharise Woods sang “Oh Holy Night.”

Awards of appreciation were presented to various businesses and persons in the Natchitoches community. Andre Taylor accepted an award on behalf of Super1 Foods, Alice Barrios on behalf of the Natchitoches Parish Council on Aging, Meagan Rachal on behalf of Parkway Cinema, Carl Walters II on behalf of the Outpatient Medical Center, Rose Payton on behalf of Alliance Compressors, Karla Haskins on behalf of Pizza Hut, and Mark Hailey on behalf of Fat Daddy’s Crawfish. Individuals receiving awards for support and action within the Natchitoches community were: Stephen Sanders, John Winston, Sheriff Victor Jones, Sheriff-elect Stuart Wright, Mayor Lee Posey, Randy Stelley, Coach De, John Broussard, Sonya Hall, Jake Landry, Linda Davis, Yvette Williams, Sharice Woods, Terrence Johnson, Linda Queen, Rose Payton, Sonnia Steele, Darlene Perry, Audra Edney, Tina Lynch, Elvin Shields, and Deloris Calhoun.

Other awards recipients were: Law Office of Howard Conday, Southern Classic Chicken, Raising Canes Chicken Tenders, Trail Boss, Walmart, Bank of Montgomery, Army National Guard, The Ink Spot, NSU Football, NSU Men’s Basketball, Helping Hands, Eddie the Eagle, Deputy Vanessa Stanfield, .Sharon Durham, Natchitoches Parish Library, H&R Block, City Bank & Trust Company, John Hurd, Joshua Isbell and Mark Scott.
