Norman Ray Norsworthy was born, at home, in Lotus Louisiana to Jeff and Orean Norsworthy on January 14, 1935. He was raised in the country with his two sisters- LaVerne and Gwen and two brothers – Douglas and Gervais.
Norman was a long-time member and Deacon of Westside Baptist Church in Natchitoches. He was a God-loving man who prayed daily for the safety and well-being of his loving wife, Sue and four children-Tad, Alan, Marla and Dana.
Norman was a devoted family man who showered his family with love in countless ways. He enjoyed socializing with the many friends and acquaintances he has obtained through his life. He had a contagious smile, a heart-warming laugh and a special twinkle in his eye.
He always had a passion for working outdoors, whether it was at home or at “the camp”.
He started out as a sheet metal worker but was then introduced to plumbing. He became a master plumber and co-owner of M.F. Rutledge Plumbing. Many have called him “the best plumber in town”. After 40 years as a plumber, he retired but kept himself busy enjoying time with his family, traveling with his wife, spending time at the camp, woodworking, and working in his yard.
His Family would like to offer heartfelt gratitude for the compassionate and loving care from the staff with Hospice of Natchitoches.
