Special Called Parish Council meeting removes ordinance regarding Council Clerk position

The Natchitoches Parish Council held a Special Called meeting on Monday, Nov. 9 to remove Ordinance 012-2020 from the table and its vote to approve Parish Ordinance 012-2020 from the Oct. 19, 2020 Parish Council meeting.

Council members Marty Cheatwood and Chris Paige and Parish President John Richmond were absent. OCS Director Sharon Harris served as acting parish president for the meeting.

A Council action from the Oct. 19 meeting approved cutting the Council Clerk’s position from Full-Time to Part-Time.

  1. I want send out a public apology to Mr. Richmond! I was going on so incorrect information with my last post. Mr. Richmond to the time to to call me and answer my question and a few more not connected to this issue. He also agreed to sitting down face to face to discuss other things. John Richmond gained much respect from me tonight for reaching out to discuss this. Not a lot of people in his type of position will take the time to reach out to a single voter calling them out on things John did and like I said gained much respect not that that’s a big deal in the over picture,but it does to me!

  2. You have a special called meeting and 3 members didn’t show up and you have voted ordinance changes? NO ONE IS RUNNING THIS PARISH!
