Over 100 cars, trucks, slingshots, motorcycles and ATVs came to Natchitoches’ Ben. D. Johnson Center’s parking lot Saturday, December 5 for the first “Christmas on Wheels” car show sponsored by the Christmas on Wheels Unity Group and the Legacy Café. The popular event filled the parking lot with several hundred attendees and vehicle owners.
The Shreveport Chapter of The Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club made a return visit to our city to participate in the show. The club made an extremely generous donation after Hurricane Laura of several thousand dollars dedicated to hurricane relief efforts in Natchitoches. It was wonderful to see them come back for a fun time. There were several cars with artwork as well as customized paintjobs and accessories. They were joined by a Corvette club and trucks with customized paintjobs and low riding suspensions. A DJ kept the spirits high with a variety of music. The show attracted automotive and motorcycle enthusiasts from throughout Louisiana, as well as Texas, Mississippi, Arkansas and Florida.
