In an effort to have Covid-19 precautions in place, Lakeview Jr Sr High School has several guidelines for the teams and fans according to LHSAA and CDC recommendations.
Lakeview Home Game COVID-19 Guidelines
Fans will be required to wear face covering while in the building. If the face covering is removed, the fan will be asked once to put their mask on. Upon the second violation, the fan will be asked to leave the premises.
There will be no concessions sold at the games.
There will be no outside food or drinks allowed in the building.
There will be no re-entry once you leave.
Once the maximum count is reached, doors will be closed. A fan may enter, as a fan leaves.
Please arrive early to allow for temperature checks.
Teams will enter from the front entrance
Please have the entire team arrive together, to assist in the speed of temperature checks.
No one with a temperature of 100.4 or higher will be allowed in the gym area.
An isolation point will be provided for a student with a high temperature and you are to assign someone from your staff for supervision of the student until the games are completed
Please check your student-athlete’s temperature before leaving your school. Lakeview’s administration will be subject to cancel the game if the students rode the bus together and one of the students has Covid-19 symptoms.
Cheer must pay to enter the games and must cheer from the stands with face coverings.
All parties will enter through the eastside entrance closest to the parking lot and have temperature checked before entering the building.
If there is a line, social distancing is required.
Anyone with a 100.4 or higher will not be permitted to enter.
Players will enter through the main office entrance where all will have their temperature checked before entering the building. (Lakeview Head coaches will be responsible for checking temperatures).
If a student-athlete’s temperature is higher than 100.4 the opposing team coach will have to provide accommodations for the student as he/she will not be permitted to enter.
Attendance will be 25% of the gym capacity which is a total of 250 people with a maximum fan count of 150 in the gym.
Money will be taken at the door on a first come, first served basis.
During game play:
Fans will be required to wear a face covering while in the building. If the face covering is removed the fan will be asked once to put their mask on. Upon the second violation, the fan will be asked to leave the premises.
The team bench areas will be the first three rows of the bleachers with an empty row and the remainder of the area reserved for the team awaiting play.
Spectators will not be allowed in the bench area (east side of gym 1).
Fans will only sit on the west side of gym 1. Fans will adhere to social distancing by households. Players must remain seated in their assigned area. All players will be restricted from walking around the gym.
The official table area will be sectioned off by orange rails and reserved for administration or administration designees only.
The official table area will be limited to essential personnel which includes the home team scorer and timer.
Officials at the table will be required to wear a face covering during the entirety of the game contest(s)
Water fountains will be disconnected. Waterers for water bottles will be available.
The official clock keeper and the bookkeeper will be provided sanitizer to sanitize the game ball in between quarters, as well as the official table.
All doors will be exits. There will be no socializing after the game. Everyone will be asked to leave the building. Rides of the players must wait outside in their vehicle.
No player will be released until the gym is clear and safe for the players to leave without sacrificing social distancing.
The gym will be sanitized by all coaches after players and fans are dispersed.
