Natchitoches Police arrest two juveniles for terrorizing on Christmas Festival night

The Natchitoches Police Department is investigating several terrorizing phone calls that have led to the arrest of two juveniles.

On December 5, 2020 around 6:47 p.m., officers with the Natchitoches Police Department responded to a restaurant on University Parkway in reference to a phone call they received about an individual threatening to “shoot the place up.” A few minutes later around 6:50 p.m., the Natchitoches Police Department was contacted by another restaurant on South Drive in reference to receiving a phone call from an individual threatening to “come into the place and start shooting.” The final phone call the Natchitoches Police Department received was around 7:15 p.m., from Walmart in reference to a bomb being in the parking lot.

Detectives with the Natchitoches Police Department were able to locate the residence where the terrorizing phone calls were being made and with the assistance of the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office they were able to place two juveniles under arrest.

The two juveniles are charged with three counts of Terrorizing and one count of Communicating of False Information of Planned Arson.

Terrorizing and Communicating of False Information of Planned Arson are both felonies and carry a maximum prison sentence of not more than fifteen years.
