NPSO, EMS AND FIRE RESCUE RESPOND TO SINGLE-VEHICLE CRASH ON LA. HWY 156


(GOLDONNA, LA.) – A Winn Parish man suffered non-life threatening injuries in a single-vehicle crash on La. Hwy 156 near the Natchitoches-Winn Parish line according to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies assigned to the NPSO Patrol Division, Goldonna Police, Natchitoches Parish Fire District #2, NPSO Rescue and Natchitoches Regional Medical Center EMS responded to NATCOM 911 Center reports of a single-vehicle crash involving injuries on La. Hwy 156 near the Natchitoches-Winn Parish line.

Deputies say 37-year-old Eric Ray Kirtley of Sikes, La. was operating a 2006 Dodge pickup truck traveling eastbound on La. Hwy 156 when he apparently lost control of the vehicle leaving the road on the right side traveling down a slight embankment striking several trees.

Kirtley was treated at the scene by EMS for non-life threatening injuries, released and is expected to travel by private vehicle to seek additional medical aid.

Kirtley was wearing his seat belt.

The vehicle which received heavy damage was removed from the scene by a local wrecker service.
NPSO Deputies worked the crash.
