Christmas toys donated to local CASA children in honor of Wes Rollo

Christmas is a special time and finding a way to serve others makes it even more special. This past Sunday afternoon, Dec. 13, was a time to be the hands and feet of God, in honor of a very special young man — Wes Rollo. The Natchitoches Storm 9U Baseball Team was invited by Charity Runs, Inc. (Michelle Longlois) to shop in memory of Wes Rollo. The team members, along with their siblings, were allowed selected two toys each to be given to Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA).

The toys will be used as Christmas gifts for the CASA children in the parish. After the Wal-Mart shopping trip, the Team met at the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office to donate their selected toys. The Sheriff’s Department will complete the final task of getting the toys to these special children. No doubt, Wes would approve of this wonderful event and we pray these toys are a blessing to those receiving them.

  1. Love seeing Wes’s continuing impact on the community that so thoroughly embraced him and that he so thoroughly loved labeling his hometown.
