Traffic stop leads to narcotics seizure believed to be distributed throughout the Campti, North Natchitoches Parish area

According to a Task Force official, on 5/13/2021, Agents with the Natchitoches Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force assigned to the Criminal Patrol Unit observed a red Chevrolet Suburban parked against the flow of traffic on Lake Drive in Campti, LA. There was a passenger, later identified as, Fredrick Hall, 19, in the front passenger seat but no driver. After making contact with the vehicle, the driver, identified as Timothy Moore, 39, approached the scene. Upon contact with both subjects, Agents immediately noticed a bag of suspected marijuana in the middle console of the vehicle. Agents asked Hall and Moore if there was any other illegal items inside the vehicle, Hall advised Agents that he had a firearm under his leg. Both Hall and Moore were detained due to the ongoing investigation.

As the investigation continued, Agents located a piece of a brown paper bag containing 7 suspected hydrocodone pills on Hall. Upon searching the vehicle, Agents located the following:

5 suspected hydrocodone pills,
54 grams of suspected methamphetamine
15 grams of suspected synthetic marijuana “Mojo”
1 gram of suspected marijuana
1 gram of suspected crack cocaine.

Hall stated that all the items in the vehicle belonged to him.

Prior to transporting Moore to the NMJDTF office for an interview due to the narcotics being in the vehicle he was in control of. He was searched again before being transported. While being search, Agents located two Buprenorphine sublingual film strips (Schedule III) on Moore’s person. Moore is currently on parole for prior narcotics charges.

As a result of the investigation, Hall and Moore were placed into the NPDC for the following charges:

Timothy Moore was arrested and charged with the following:
R.S. 40:968 – Possession of CDS III (Buprenorphine)
Obstructing a public passage
Parole violations

Frederick Hall was arrested and charged with the following:
R.S. 40:967C – Possession of CDS II (Hydrocodone, Crack Cocaine)
R.S. 40:967A – Possession of CDS II with intent (Methamphetamine)
R.S. 40:966C – Possession of CDS I (marijuana, and synthetic marijuana)
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Possession of a firearm in the presence of CDS.
