Natchitoches woman arrested on narcotics charges

NATCHITOCHES-On 6/10/2021 around 8:00 PM, Deputies assigned to the IMPACT team stopped a gray Pontiac for window tint violation in the 500 block of Hwy 3191.

Upon stopping the vehicle, the driver of the vehicle was identified as, Haylie Humphries, 24, of the 900 block of Natchitoches, also in the vehicle was Humphries’ two year old child.

During the course of the traffic stop investigation, NPSO K9 “Misty” was utilized. “Misty” gave a positive odor alert on Humphries’ vehicle.

Upon searching the vehicle, Deputies located approximately 1.7 grams of suspected methamphetamine and a glass smoking pipe inside a backpack that was in the front passenger side seat.

Humphries was placed under arrest and transported to the NMJDTF for booking. Humphries was charged with the following charges:

• Possession of CDS II (Methamphetamine)
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
• Obstruction of Justice
• Illegal window tint
• Driving under suspension
• CDS in the presence of a juvenile

A family member took custody of the child.

Humphries was transported to the NPDC.
