The Ladies Bass Anglers Association Shares their Skills and Love of Fishing

Several dozen children spent a fun and educational day at the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame and Northwest History Museum, Saturday, June 12. The Ladies’ Bass Anglers Association, a group of female professional bass anglers, shared some of their skills with the children in a clinic held on the museum’s grounds. The professional anglers taught the youngsters how to cast, giving each child a chance to practice casting into a pool. The ladies also taught other aspects of the art of fishing such as habitat and fish identification, safety, and conservation. The clinic was a superb opportunity to learn from the best.

The ladies of the LBAA have held several tournaments on Cane River and Sibley Lake, making our parish a popular spot on their tours over the years. The Natchitoches Parish Journal wishes to thank them for graciously taking time from their busy schedules to share their skills and love of fishing with our children. We wish the ladies of the LBAA a safe and successful season and look forward to welcoming them back to our parish’s waters!
