An MLK Day Celebration will be held on Monday, Jan. 17. It begins with a prayer breakfast at 9 am at the MLK Recreation Center. Next is a March for Justice & Peace with lineup at 10 am at the Ben Johnson Parking Lot. The march will begin at 11 am. A MLK Monument Dedication Ceremony directly follows the march with presentations by Theta Chi Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. and Northwestern State University Lifted Voices Gospel Choir. Guest Speaker is Darrin Nixon, NSU NAACP President, NSU NPHC President.
