Stokes to represent NCHS softball in state All-Star Games in May

Senior infielder Catherine “Cat” Stokes is one of the key players for the Natchitoches Central High School softball team, which just beat No. 1-ranked Pineville and will soon start the state playoffs.

Stokes will carry the maroon and gold brand into May, representing NCHS in the Louisiana High School Coaches Association’s All-Star Games for softball May 13-14 in Tioga.

Coach Ronnie Abels recently announced her selection and reported Stokes will play for the West team in the showcase.

Only 36 senior girls from around Louisiana, 18 on each side, earned selection to the All-Star Games.

Stokes and her teammates will find out their playoff draw Thursday afternoon.
