
On May 7, 2022 around 7:02 p.m., officers with the Natchitoches Police Department were dispatched to the 1100 block of Highland Park Drive in reference to a disturbance. While officers were heading to Highland Park they were notified by Police Communication Officers that several gun shots had been fired in the area. Upon officers arrival they made contact with several witnesses who said that Brittany Slaughter (B/F, 25 y.o.a. of Natchitoches) fired several gun shots and hid the firearm inside of a vehicle.
Officers were given consent to search the vehicle and located a .357 Magnum handgun that was reported stolen through the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office.
As a result of their investigation:
- Brittany Slaughter was arrested for Discharging a Firearm within the City Limits of Natchitoches.
- Marcus Slaughter (B/M, 42 y.o.a. of Natchitoches) was arrested for Interference with Officers.
- Sonya Slaughter (B/F, 46 y.o.a. of Natchitoches) was arrested for Illegal Possession of a Stolen Firearm.
- Christian Pikes (B/M, 24 y.o.a. of Natchitoches) was arrested for Remaining After Being Forbidden.
- Dorian Hardison (B/M, 21 y.o.a. of Natchitoches) was arrested for Disturbing the Peace by Fighting.
- Trevon Reed (B/M, 23 y.o.a. of Natchitoches) was arrested for Disturbing the Peace by Fighting.
