NPTCC Creates Online Store for Parents to Purchase School Apparel

The Natchitoches Parish Technical and Career Center has created an online shopping experience for parents to purchase uniform shirts and other school related clothing. Principal Bobby Benjamin says the store launched through the school’s Facebook page on Sept. 14.

According to Principal Benjamin, “We’ve been contemplating this venture for a few years now. Seeing shirts with Lakeview and Natchitoches Central was the catalyst for the idea because we want our school to be represented, as well. This version of our school is fairly new, so the lack of representation is expected. We wanted a place where our parents and students could purchase shirts for our school. It shows school pride when students have the opportunity to represent their school.”

Wayne Crawford, student council and JAG president says he likes the idea of having a place to purchase apparel for school.

“I really like this idea. We have never had anywhere to buy stuff with our school name on it. Now we can be comfortable and represent our school at the same time.” Curtis Doty, a ninth-grade student at NPTCC, also said the online store was good for the students. “I mean, we can wear this to school and not always have to wear a polo shirt. I can buy a shirt and represent my school,” Doty said.

Mr. Benjamin said a portion of the sales will benefit the school. The proceeds will go to help purchase school supplies, busing for field trips, and other student activities on campus. The online school store can be accessed through the link below.
