Thirteen young ladies will compete for the title of Miss AKA Debutante and the honor of being selected as a member of the royal court. The Debutante Presentation will be held on Sunday, Oct. 29 at 5 p.m., on the campus of Northwestern State University at Magale Recital Hall.
The following young ladies will be presented:
Kristyn Anderson, daughter of Katherine Johnson and Anthony Anderson. Kristyn is a senior at Natchitoches Central High School. Her escort will be William Terrell, son of Dane and Kayla Terrell.
Tija Augmon, daughter of Sabrina Palmer and Marcus Lafayette. Tija is a senior at Red River High School. Her escort will be Justin Palmer, son of Sabrina Palmer and Gene Brewer Jr.
Olivia Below, daughter of Jermaine and Tefanie Below. Olivia is a senior at Natchitoches Central High School. Her escort will be Nathaniel Below, son of Jermaine and Tefanie Below.
Ma’Kira Carpenter, daughter of Nesisha Carpenter and Eric Fisher. Ma’Kira is a freshman at Grambling State University. Her escort will be Cameron Holden, son of Anita Holden.
Mia Dawson, daughter of Lionel Jr. and Marisa Dawson. Mia is a senior at Natchitoches Central High School. Her escort will be Nathan Holmes, son of Danyelle Lewis and Calvin Holmes.
Madison Hayes, daughter of Latoya Hayes and Cyraun Bell. Madison is a senior at Natchitoches Central High School. Her escort will be Jaylon White, son of Willis and Ashley White.
Megan Helaire, daughter of Adrian and Kinyauda Helaire. Megan is a senior at Natchitoches Central High School. Her escort will be Rytaveon Thomas, son of Michela Mosely and Corvoisia Thomas.
McKenzie Lacour, daughter of Anthony and Rosalind Parker. McKenzie is a senior at Natchitoches Central High School. Her escort will be Amos Taylor III, son of Amos and Sonja Taylor.
JaNiaria Medlock, daughter of Ashley Helaire and Quinten Helaire. JaNiaria is a senior at Natchitoches Central High School. Her escort will be Tanner Holden, son of Bradlen and Carlaona Holden.
Shona Moses, daughter of Matreka Moses and Justin Brown. Shona is a senior at Natchitoches Central High School. Her escort will be Tayvion Adams, son of Rondi and Tanikka Gaston and Carlos Morris.
Kennedi Nelson, daughter of Chad and Deirdie Nelson. Kennedi is a senior at Natchitoches Central High School. Her escort will be Jomello McDonald, son of John and Lillie McDonald.
Justice Robinson, daughter of Tiawana Rivers and Rodney Robinson. Justice is a senior at Natchitoches Central High School. Her escort will be La’Darrius Merritte, son of Julius and Jelisa Howard.
Heaven Sam, daughter of Reneka Johnson and Michael Sam. Heaven is a senior at Natchitoches Central High School. Her escort will be Jorryn Harris, son of Ja’Lesia Mims and Marcus Harris.
Admission to the Debutante Presentation is $5. Tickets may be purchased in advance from any sorority member or debutante. Proceeds from the Gala will be used to fund the sorority’s scholarship program and initiatives, which include: Empowering Families, Building Economic Wealth, Enhancing the Environment, Advocating for Social Justice, Uplifting the local community and local chapter programs.
