On June 20 Judge Layla B. Sylvester granted a motion for summary judgement filed by defendant Brad Laird regarding the case of the murdered Northwestern State University Football player Ronnie Caldwell Jr. at the Quad Apartments on Oct. 12, 2023. All the plaintiffs claims against Laird were dismissed with full prejudice.
The motion was granted because the plaintiff failed to file timely opposition and failed to submit evidence it claimed to have.
