Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies, Louisiana State Police, Natchitoches Regional Medical Center EMS and Natchitoches Parish Fire Protection District #1 responded to NATCOM 911 Center reports on Nov. 17 around 6:20 am of a two-vehicle crash with injuries on I-49 northbound near milepost #111 just north of the Natchitoches-Rapides Parish line, according to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office.

 

Responding units arrived on scene finding one vehicle partially in the road and another that appeared to have traveled off the road down the northbound embankment and overturned. One person, reportedly ejected from one of the vehicles, was suffering from serious life-threatening injuries. Deputies say that person was transported from the scene by EMS to a regional trauma center in Alexandria for treatment of serious injuries.
