The City of Natchitoches announces that construction work will continue this week on a 1,200-foot section of Woodyard Drive located approximately 0.2 mile east of South Drive.
At 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 16 this section of Woodyard Drive will once again be CLOSED TO ALL TRAFFIC for a period of approximately four hours for remediation of the cement-treated base course that was constructed last week where an equipment breakdown resulted in work that did not meet the project specifications. While this work is ongoing, all traffic must detour around the work site via Abbie Drive and Saida Street.
A partial lane closure of a short section of Woodyard Drive within the project limits will follow the re-opening of this street to traffic, during which time motorists will need to exercise caution when traveling around the barricaded area.
During the week of October 20, Apeck Construction will place the new asphalt surfacing on this section of Woodyard Drive, with one-lane, two-way traffic being maintained with flaggers.
