Natchitoches Parish Clerk of Court David O. Stamey is providing an early preview of the Tuesday, Nov. 3 election.

Mail-in ballots for those who qualify are in the process of being sent out. Voters are reminded to sign their ballots and have a witness before returning them.

Early voting will be held Oct. 20-27, excluding Sunday, Oct. 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at designated locations. 

Local races include Natchitoches Parish School Board elections, City Court Judge, City Marshal, leadership elections in five Natchitoches Parish towns and villages, and Justice of the Peace and Constable races. Voters can use the GeauxVote app to view their ballot issues.

The election also includes 10 statewide constitutional amendments.

National races include the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate.

The deadline to register to vote in person, by mail or at an ROV Office is Oct. 5. The deadline to register through the GeauxVote Online Registration System is Oct. 13. 

Stamey encouraged voters who are unsure about the election or their ballot to ask questions and learn more before voting.
