Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s deputies, Louisiana State Police, Natchitoches Regional Medical Center EMS, Natchitoches Parish Fire Protection District #7 and Natchitoches Haz-Mat units responded at 11:45 a.m. on Sept. 17 to reports of a commercial vehicle crash with injuries on I-49 southbound at mile markers 155-156, just north of Ajax, according to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Haz-Mat units responded due to possible diesel leakage from the vehicle’s fuel tanks.

Deputies said the injuries were believed to be non-life-threatening.

Motorists traveling through the area were advised to drive carefully and avoid distractions.
