The Natchitoches Queens Scholarship Program will be held Sunday, Sept. 20 at 3 p.m. at the Natchitoches Events Center. Admission is $5 for guests ages 10 and older.
Contestants in the Miss Merry Christmas division will compete in scholastic achievement, interview, casual wear, evening gown and onstage question. The winner will be crowned Miss Merry Christmas and will receive a Northwestern State University tuition scholarship.
Christmas Belles will also be selected during the pageant. Miss Merry Christmas will serve as the official hostess of the Natchitoches Christmas Festival, while she and the Christmas Belles will represent Natchitoches at various events throughout the holiday season.
The program will also feature the Miss Natchitoches City of Lights and Miss Natchitoches City of Lights’ Outstanding Teen competitions. Contestants in both divisions will compete in interview, talent, onstage question, fitness in sportswear and evening wear. The Miss Natchitoches City of Lights winner will receive a $1,000 in-kind scholarship to Northwestern State University, an official Miss America local crown and a custom embroidered sash. The Miss Natchitoches City of Lights’ Outstanding Teen winner will receive an official Miss America’s Outstanding Teen local crown and custom embroidered sash.
