Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s deputies, NPSO Impact Units and Natchitoches Parish Fire Protection District No. 1 were dispatched by the NATCOM 911 Center at 8:08 p.m. to a reported RV camper and woods fire in the 3400 block of Louisiana Highway 490 at Marco, according to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Within minutes of arriving on scene, NPFD No. 1 had the fire contained.

The RV camper was a total loss.

Units remained on scene.

The owner said an unattended candle is believed to be the cause of the fire.
