Caregiver Support Group to Meet Tuesday in Natchitoches

The Natchitoches Council on Aging will host a free caregiver support group Tuesday, Oct. 20, from 2 to 3 p.m.

The gathering is intended for individuals caring for loved ones with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia, including spouses and other family members.

Participants will have an opportunity to share experiences, discuss challenges and connect with others facing similar caregiving responsibilities in a confidential setting.

No registration or appointment is required.

FAUNA to Host Farm-to-Table Fundraiser Wednesday
FAUNA

FAUNA will host a farm-to-table fundraising dinner Wednesday, Oct. 21, beginning at 6 p.m. at Mariner’s Restaurant overlooking Sibley Lake in Natchitoches.

The event will feature a menu highlighting locally sourced ingredients and will benefit the organization’s work rescuing, rehabilitating and finding homes for animals in Natchitoches Parish.

The dinner brings together community members and supporters to raise funds for animal welfare programs while promoting local food and agriculture.
