The Demon Dream Home Giveaway brings Northwestern State University and Rhodes Properties and Development together to support nearly 400 student-athletes while giving one lucky winner the keys to a brand-new home.

On Nov. 6, someone will win a brand-new home. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms and 1,450 square feet of living space in the new Hidden Oak subdivision near Sibley Lake in Natchitoches. A home valued at $265,000, with the winning ticket costing $100.
For one lucky winner, the 2026 Demon Dream Home Giveaway offers the opportunity to change where they live. For nearly 400 student-athletes at Northwestern State University, the proceeds will help shape where their futures lead.
The giveaway is a partnership between Northwestern State Athletics and Rhodes Properties and Development, bringing together local businesses, community supporters, and Demon fans around a shared investment in the university’s athletic programs.
Each year, Northwestern State student-athletes balance the demands of college coursework with early practices, competition schedules, and the expectations that come with representing their university. They pursue degrees while developing the discipline, leadership, and determination that will serve them long after their playing careers end.
Supporting those ambitions takes resources. Scholarships help make a college education possible. Investments in athletic programs provide opportunities for student-athletes to develop their abilities, compete, and represent Northwestern State with distinction.
Through the Demons Unlimited Foundation, proceeds from the giveaway will support scholarships, enhance the student-athlete experience, and strengthen opportunities for success across Demon Athletics.
For James and Justin Rhodes, owners of Rhodes Properties and Development, the partnership reflects their longstanding relationship with the university and their belief in the role athletics plays throughout the Natchitoches community.

The home itself is located in Hidden Oak, one of Natchitoches’ newest residential developments. Built by Rhodes Properties and Development, the three-bedroom, two-bathroom residence offers 1,450 square feet of heated living space and an estimated value of $265,000.
For supporters considering a ticket, the opportunity is straightforward. A $100 purchase provides one entry for a chance to win the home or one of the additional available prizes. Every entry also contributes to the fundraising effort supporting Northwestern State student-athletes.
The winning ticket will be drawn Nov. 6 during a live event at Riverside Reserve in Natchitoches, where additional prizes will also be awarded.
