Natchitoches Parish 4-H teen leaders plan community service projects through statewide challenge

Natchitoches Parish 4-H teen leaders recently met to begin participating in the Louisiana State 4-H Act to Impact Challenge, planning several community service activities for October.

During the meeting, the teen leaders organized their main challenge for the month, which will involve delivering pumpkins and visiting a local nursing home.

The group also began working on additional activities, referred to as “side quests,” as part of the statewide challenge.

October’s side quests include participating in a Pink Out event to raise awareness and organizing a litter cleanup project.

According to Natchitoches Parish 4-H, the activities are part of the teen leaders’ efforts to develop leadership skills and become more engaged citizens through community involvement and service.
