Natchitoches Parish 4-H volunteer Lisa Wiggins has received the LSU AgCenter Seeds to Success Farm to School Champion Award.

Farm-to-school advocates from across the state recently gathered to celebrate a decade of “Growing Together” at the Louisiana Farm to School Conference, an annual event developed by the LSU AgCenter’s Seeds to Success: The Louisiana Farm to School Program.

The conference afforded attendees opportunities to explore approaches to incorporating local foods into school meals, bringing agriculture into the classroom and using school gardens and hands-on experiences to support student learning.
