EMERGENCY DECLARATION – Natchitoches Parish

PARISH PRESIDENT RICK NOWLIN ISSUES EMERGENCY DECLARATION

Natchitoches Parish President Rick Nowlin has declared a State of Emergency due to the extreme wet weather conditions that are causing flooding. The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for the Parish until 2:30 p.m. with up to three inches of rain having already fallen. Mr. Nowlin urges all citizens to take notice and prepare accordingly.

The current forecast indicates that the rain is expected to continue through Wednesday.  Mr. Nowlin said that, “If you must travel, please exercise caution and keep it slow. Flooded areas should be avoided.”
