NATCHITOCHES – The Fredericks Symphonic Band and NSU Wind Symphony will present their spring concert Thursday, April 21 at 7:30 p.m. in Magale Recital Hall. Admission is free and open to the public.
Assistant Professor of Music Oliver Molina conducts the Symphonic Band with assistance from Michael Cox. Director of Bands Dr. Jeff Mathews conducts the NSU Wind Symphony with assistance from Jaime Cisneros.
The Symphonic Band will present a program featuring selections composed by Stuart, Grainger and Ticheli.
The NSU Wind Symphony’s program is titled “Fanfares, Festivals and Songs.” Vocal faculty member and tenor Michael Rorex will join the Wind Symphony as a special guest performer. The program will feature works by Stamp, Lacerda, Nelhybel, Zaninelli and Smith.
