The landscape architect for the Rue Beauport Renovation Project, Jeff Carbo, spoke to the Kiwanis Club at its meeting Dec. 1.
“I’m very excited to work with the city on this really significant space that is a treasure to not only your city but the state,” he said.
The vision for the project began almost 20 years ago.
“We were commissioned to do a master plan on what the river could be,” said Carbo. “Posey and I reviewed that plan while thinking about people who have mobility issues. We are expected to begin construction Jan. 9 and complete the project by Oct. 15. This is reality and its getting ready to happen.”
