Pursuant to the provisions of Proclamation Number 41 JBE 2020 – Section 2-A issued by Governor John Bel Edwards on April 2, 2020, and extended by the Governor on April 27, 2020 until May 15, 2020 notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Natchitoches will hold an electronic regular meeting on, Monday, May 11, 2020 beginning at 5:30 p.m. and a Budget Hearing beginning at 4:30 p.m. The reasons for holding an electronic public meeting are to limit the spread of COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) and to remain in compliance with Proclamation Number 41 JBE 2020, which prohibits any public gathering through May 15, 2020. In accordance with LA. R.S. 42:19 and Attorney Generals Open Meetings Guidance, in order to meet quorum requirements, some Natchitoches Council Members may be involved in the meeting via telephone or video conference. The electronic public meeting will be held via teleconference and video conference.

You must state your name for the record and you will be limited to 3 minutes for your comments. Please remember that this is not a question and answer session and please speak clearly for the record. Since we are allowing for a public comment period, agenda items will take longer than usual because we will allow 45 seconds between the reading of the item and the vote being taken, for any public comment.

June 1, 2020 through May 31, 2021 will be held on Monday, May 11, 2020 at 4:30 PM, at the Natchitoches City Council Chambers, 716 Second Street, Natchitoches, LA 71457.
