We have now seen the national conventions of both major American political parties. Each presented their plans and platforms for governing. There should be no confusion about any of this because they have each written and stated their goals clearly and emphatically. What did we learn about their respective policies and agendas? The differences are stunning.
Last week we reviewed the Biden-Harris agenda. This week we review the Trump-Pence agenda.
In summary fashion, the Trump-Pence ticket, running on a strong prosperity agenda, includes a heavy focus on continued job creation which had exploded after the Trump Tax Cuts prior to the virus. The Trump Administration plans on creating 10 million new jobs in 10 months, creating 1 million new small businesses, cutting taxes to boost take-home pay, and keeping jobs in America. It also plans to continue enacting fair trade deals that protect American jobs and advance “Made in America” tax credits, expand Opportunity Zones, and continue its deregulatory agenda for energy independence. On the Covid front, the Trump Administration will continue pushing aggressively to develop a vaccine by the end of 2020, manufacture in the U.S. all critical medicines and supplies for healthcare workers, while also refilling stockpiles and preparing for future pandemics.
The Trump Administration also plans to continue addressing the China threat by bringing back 1 million manufacturing jobs back from China and d0ing so by providing tax credits for companies that bring back jobs from China; allow 100% expensing of deductions for essential industries like pharmaceuticals and robotics companies who bring their manufacturing back to the U.S., while also prohibiting federal contracts from being awarded to companies who outsource to China.
Regarding healthcare, the Administration will continue to fight to lower prescription drug prices and put patients and doctors back in charge of our healthcare system while also lowering healthcare insurance premiums and ending surprise billing. The health plan would also continue to cover all pre-existing conditions. It would further protect Social Security and Medicare, while also protecting our veterans and providing them quality healthcare and services based upon the individual veteran’s choice.
On the education front, the Trump Administration would provide school choice to every child in America and teach actual and accurate American history while emphasizing American Exceptionalism. The Administration’s governmental reform plan includes passing congressional term limits, ending bureaucratic government bullying of U.S. citizens and small businesses, continuing to expose the “swamp” and Washington, D.C.’s corrupt money trail, while seeking every method by which to delegate powers back to the states and the people.
The Administration’s law enforcement agenda includes strong support of law enforcement—including fully funding and hiring more police and law enforcement officers, increasing criminal penalties for assaults on law enforcement officers, and prosecuting drive-by shootings as acts of domestic terrorism. This includes bringing violent extremist groups like ANTIFA to justice and keeping dangerous criminals locked up until trial, when merited.
The Administration further plans to end illegal immigration and protect American workers including blocking illegal immigrants from becoming eligible for taxpayer-funded welfare, healthcare, and free college tuition. It also includes mandatory deportation for non-citizen gang members, dismantling of human trafficking networks, while also ending sanctuary cities in order to restore our neighborhoods and protect our families. The agenda also includes prohibiting American companies from replacing American citizens with lower-cost foreign workers. Perhaps most importantly, it would require new immigrants to be able to support themselves financially.
The Trump Administration’s “America First” policy includes stopping endless wars and bringing our troops home, demanding our allies pay their proportionate share of their defense, maintain and expand America’s military strength, wipe out global terrorists who threaten to harm Americans and build great cybersecurity and missile defense systems.
Defense of American values includes continuing the nominations of constitutionalist Supreme Court and lower court federal judges, protecting unborn life through every means available, defending religious liberty and the sacred free exercise of religious believers and organizations, and strongly supporting the exercise of Second Amendment rights.
This is the pro-America agenda—pro-life, pro-family, pro-2nd Amendment, pro small business, pro-jobs and employment of Americans, pro-national defense, and pro-American constitutional values. The Trump-Pence agenda could not be more different from the Biden-Harris Democrat agenda.

An intelligent and insightful article. I always enjoy the writing of Rep. Johnson and I stand with him on his perception of what we should be concerned with in the upcoming election.
This following was sent to me by a cousin. This is where I stand also.
“When people tell me “I can’t believe you would vote for a narcissistic asshole”, “How can you vote for someone that your children cannot look up to?” “If you are for Trump, you are racist, UN-Christian, and evil.”
HEAR ME LOUD AND CLEAR……. I am not voting for a personality (Lord, don’t get me started on Biden’s improper sexual behavior or even Clinton’s time on Epstein’s Island) ETC!
I’m voting for POLICY.
I’m voting for the right to praise my God.
I’m voting for the Second Amendment.
I’m voting for capitalism and the American Dream.
I’m voting for the Police, and for law and order.
I’m voting for the military, and the veterans who fought for and died for this country.
I’m voting for the right to speak my opinion and not be censored.
I’m voting for secure borders.
I’m voting for every unborn life.🇸 I’m voting for the Flag that is always missing from the Democratic Party.
I’m voting for good and against evil.
I’m voting for one nation under God.
So please, do not come at me and question my Christianity, morals, and ethics…. for ALL those reasons… I am voting for the future of my country.

I ask you to give an unbiased comparison of the GOP an DEM stance each of the “I’m voting for” above and then decide on which is best for America. The alternatives are Democracy vs Socialism.
Excellent article Royal. I could not agree more. I also missed Part 1 on the Biden-Harris agenda, but I have seen enough of that in the news.
Those who get social security checks put money into the system to be able to get them. It is not a give me program but one worked for over many years.
I totally agree with you, Virginia. When I became a citizen of this great country some 55 years ago, I registered as a Democrat.
Having experienced living in a communist as well as a socialist country, I saw my party leaning more and more towards Socialism and registered as an Independent. Realizing I needed to stop sitting on the fence, I changed my voter registration to Republican.
I still vote my conscience and my conscience tells me I can in no way support the Democratic agenda and look my children and grandchildren in the eyes! No way would I want them to see and experience living under Socialism. May God have mercy on us and protect our country from this freedom stealing evil.
Somehow I missed last weeks post and can’t seem to find it in past articles. Could you possibly run it again?

Right On! I wish you would publish this in Facebook, Twitter, Natchitoches Times, Shreveport Times, etc.
So many folk still cling to the Old Democratic Party which really doesn’t exist any more. So then don’t listen to the news except for one or two channels or heaven forbid, CNN. Therefore, they do not get the full picture.
Of course this is my opinion, and at 71 years of age, my input may not count for much. However, I don’t wish to see my kids and grandchildren/great grands to be stuck in a socialist world. It breaks my heart to think of such.
So ask yourself, do you want to be like All the Socialist countries which people are leaving in search for a better life?

On Kalb news I saw where Trump has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts in the Middle East. He was also nominated in 2018 for efforts to bring conciliation to North and South Korea. In 2008 Obama was awarded the prize for his efforts to dismantle the nuclear threat. That hasn’t happened but it would be great if that could be accomplished. But Obama was found by some to be a hater of America and so was his close friend for decades, Rev. J. Wright who openly and hatefully cursed America and calls for punishment of America. For her sins. For past events like slavery, Hiroshima and others. Obama was known to apologize to foreign leaders for America’s sins. So what it all comes down to is I want a person who loves America. A person who wants to stop the socialist type of government, wants to end the punishment that is happening in so many cities. Like Chicago: Over the Labor day weekend, 53 people were shot and one 8 year old girl was killed. BLM and Antifa are organizations that also hate America for similar reasons. I can’t help but feel this violence was all organized under Rev Wright and Obama. And Michelle. Like Virginia Lloyd, I am old too and I want to see a peaceful, productive country for my grandchildren. I want to see a country where the Bible is respected and that our beliefs not be used to persecute us. And no more death to viable babies and babies at birth. No more death to babies. Today, there are many abducted children who are being rescued and freed from sex slavery. This has been an awesome development by the Trump administration. I do not want hate for America’s past by humans: let the Lord issue His punishment because He promises He will render justly to each of us for our own sins. I do not want lawlessness and decreasing police, and hate lashed out on those police who were cops but never hurt anyone and helped many, I do not want socialism and Socialized medicine, I do not want education to be a means of brainwashing our children and young adults in the leftist agenda, I do not want our jobs going to China, I do not want the Covid 19 crisis to be continued as a political issue, but rather a public health issue, and I do not want racial tensions to continue to mount because we are all going to lose if we can not unify peacefully. Heaven help us.

Anyone who says that Obama hates America is totally misinformed and irresponsible. Shame on you! To assume that Republicans are the only ones to read the Bible is totally wrong and irresponsible. Our President can’t even tell if he’s holding it upright. To assume that all Democrats approve of abortion is totally wrong and irresponsible. If you don’t approve of socialism, don’t cash your Social Security check. Stop the nonsense.
Social Security retirement is an earned benefit. Those that draw it payed into it. That is far from Socialism. And yes, Obama does hate the US. What was the speech Michelle gave? She stated for the first time she was proud to be American, under her husband’s term. That’s disgraceful and tasteless. Trump may have a big mouth and he needs to shut it sometimes, but he has made positive changes in our country. He is also doing wonders cleaning Barracks mess up

Richard Rose: The source of my information can be found by reading: Crimes against Liberty” by David Limbaugh. In all of his books there is an extensive list of references. In this one, there are 97 pages listing his sources for this book. It is a real eye opener. He has written 2 more books filled with facts about the Democratic platform I did not say only repubs read the Bible.This party has been trying to suppress religious freedoms and the presence of the Bible in public places all in the name of separation of church and state. To accuse me of saying that you are also irresponsible. and I said no more death to babies. How is that saying I said all Dems ore for abortion. The Democrats party (not individuals) .supports this agenda to the fullest. As Virginia said, I worked for this money. it was withheld from my check . You really know how to assume and twist.
